Player Substitution

In the future, a link to the player substitution form will be available here. I aim to have this process fully automated by November. In the meantime, I kindly ask that you follow the guidelines and instructions below:

Substitution Policy

Teams with fewer than 10 permanent players for a scheduled game may request substitute players, adhering to the following policy:

1. Eligibility: Only players in good standing and within the same skill ranking are eligible to substitute. Players with more than 20 penalty minutes are not eligible.
2. Request Process: Substitution requests can be submitted no earlier than 7 days before a game using the Substitute Player Request Form.

Interim Process

Until the automated system is in place, I will personally manage the substitution process. I will send emails to both Permanent and Occasional players who match the skill levels required. Substitutes will be assigned on a first-come, first-served basis.

To request a substitute, please email member_relations@gayhockey.com. Use the following format in your email subject line:

"[Team Name] Substitution Player Request for [Game Date] at [Start Time of Game]"
